Conducts inspections of facilities and recommends repairs and upgrades when needed. Being a Head of Housekeeping ensures compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations. May create quality standards and monitors the implementation. Additionally, Head of Housekeeping may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Head of Housekeeping typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. We are seeking a housekeeping associate to work at the limited-service Motel 6 Mankato. Housekeepers are responsible for providing exceptionally clean rooms and require the ability to meet standards, be reliable, and have high attention to detail. This is a fast-paced physical job; manual labor is a requirement. An ability to attend to the property with integrity and a willingness to go above and beyond is essential. This position comes with the potential, to move up into the Assistant Head of Housekeeping position.
Housekeeping associate begins their shifts at 9 am or 10 am depending on the time of year. The lengths of the shifts are determined by motel occupancy and therefore vary in length but are typically 6 hours long (1pm – 5pm ending time). This is a part-time position with the potential to reach 30 hours per week.
