Health Educator jobs in Montana
Health Educator is responsible for developing and designing health education programs meant to increase community awareness and knowledge. Conducts needs assessments and keeps up-to-date on changes in health care technology to keep program material current. Being a Health Educator develops, coordinates, and disseminates educational resources and materials. May provide health education outreach and consultation. Additionally, Health Educator requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Health Educator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. The successful applicant must have an Associate’s Degree in a health related field with a minimum of two years working in a public health, community health, or health care setting. Documented experience providing education to individuals, families, and groups. Valid and unrestricted driver’s license. Heartsaver CPR or BLS within six months of hire. All applicants must submit a Tribal application, a copy of academic transcripts, certifications, proof of state licensure, copy of valid driver’s license, if claiming Tribal preference, proof of enrollment from a federally recognized Tribe if other than CSKT, and if claiming veteran’s preference, a copy of the DD214 must be submitted. Failure to submit all of the above information will result in immediate disqualification during the screening process. This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) within the definition of the CSKT Drug Testing policy. The successful applicant, if not already employed by the Tribes must pass a pre-hire drug test, subject to random testing, and serve a mandatory six (6) month probationary period. Salary is $22.37 - $25.71 per hour, plus benefits, may be employed under contract.
