Health Informatics Director directs an organization's clinical biostatistics or health informatics department. Oversees the analysis, management and performance of health information data to aid patient care. The Director of Nursing is accountable and responsible, under the direct supervision of the Administrator of Highland Community Hospital for the overall coordination and direction of all nursing activities on assigned areas. Employs organizational strategies in a balanced approach that produces meaningful contributions to each element of the Organizational Goals & Priorities. Requires the promotion of and adherence to the organization's established Compliance Program and Standards of Conduct. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served; also demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Demonstrates knowledge and sensitivity to cultural and religious beliefs of patients, visitors and staff.
