Health Informatics Director jobs in Gulfport, MS

Health Informatics Director directs an organization's clinical biostatistics or health informatics department. Oversees the analysis, management and performance of health information data to aid patient care. Being a Health Informatics Director monitors latest software and technology to keep processes up-to-date and efficient. Communicates with other departments and team members to identify new sources of data, ensure data is used effectively, and establish new initiatives. Additionally, Health Informatics Director requires a master's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Health Informatics Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Health Informatics Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.   • The Director of Nursing is accountable and responsible, under the direct supervision of the Administrator of Highland Community Hospital for the overall coordination and direction of all nursing activities on assigned areas. Employs organizational strategies in a balanced approach that produces meaningful contributions to each element of the Organizational Goals & Priorities. Requires the promotion of and adherence to the organization's established Compliance Program and Standards of Conduct. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served; also demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Demonstrates knowledge and sensitivity to cultural and religious beliefs of patients, visitors and staff.

    • Participate in department planning, decision making and policy formation.
    • Holds staff accountable to organization mission and vision.

    Qualifications:

    Education/Skills:

    Graduate of a recognized non-online RN program. Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred.

    Work Experience:

    A minimum of five years of nursing experience is required.
