Help Desk Support, Sr. jobs in New Hampshire

Help Desk Support, Sr. responds to end-user requests for technical assistance by phone, email, or ticketing system. Troubleshoots and resolves basic computer, application, system, device, access, or performance issues. Being a Help Desk Support, Sr. uses established processes and procedures to document, track, and resolve reported problems and to meet operational service levels and standards. Utilizes product information or solution database to research, troubleshoot, and deliver solutions. Additionally, Help Desk Support, Sr. advises users on the methods, steps, and actions to resolve and avoid future issues and provides documentation as needed. Escalates problems to appropriate levels or teams to achieve issue resolution. May support installs or upgrades of software or devices, set up user profiles, or re-set passwords. Fulfills all service level standards for response time and quality. May require an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Help Desk Support, Sr. works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.     Responsibilities for Help Desk Support

    • Answer front-line technical services and data center phones, provide Tier 1 support to callers, or route to appropriate on-call personnel  
    • Manage and monitor server and network logs to identify issues before they impact user base, and notify on-call personnel in the event of technical interruption
    • Coordinate and facilitate outage calls and emergent technical response, up to and including initial technical support and troubleshooting as well as systems administration and deployment
    • Apply security updates, operating system patches, and major upgrades to Windows Desktop platforms
    • Manage and monitor conditions at local and remote data center, and assist in coordinating needed maintenance
    • Work collaboratively to deliver a high level of customer service
    • Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned

    Qualifications for Help Desk Support

    • Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field with 1 year of PC network administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Detail-oriented team player with strong customer service skills
    • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

    This Help Desk Support position works ten-hour shifts on Monday through Thursday with some flexibility on start time. We look forward to hearing from you!
