Help Desk Support, Sr. responds to end-user requests for technical assistance by phone, email, or ticketing system. Troubleshoots and resolves basic computer, application, system, device, access, or performance issues. Being a Help Desk Support, Sr. uses established processes and procedures to document, track, and resolve reported problems and to meet operational service levels and standards. Utilizes product information or solution database to research, troubleshoot, and deliver solutions. Additionally, Help Desk Support, Sr. advises users on the methods, steps, and actions to resolve and avoid future issues and provides documentation as needed. Escalates problems to appropriate levels or teams to achieve issue resolution. May support installs or upgrades of software or devices, set up user profiles, or re-set passwords. Fulfills all service level standards for response time and quality. May require an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Help Desk Support, Sr. works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Our client is looking for a Help Desk Support person to join their team. This is a hybrid position in Tigard, OR.
This position provides support in the following areas :
Hardware installations.
Software deployment and installation.
Telephone support for all offices. (First Level Help Desk)
Systems inventory tracking.
Key requirements :
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Current technical knowledge of networks, hardware, and operating systems.
Help Desk Support Responsibilities
Administers first level of Help Desk calls, providing the solution or logging call for another technician.
Responsible for communication with other departments to keep them aware of system status, including any downtime or maintenance schedules.
Responsible for helping local Central Administration office with day to day issues.
Responsible for maintaining network accounts and passwords for company use.
Responsible for maintaining computer hardware and making repairs as necessary.
Responsible for establishing a stock of parts necessary for repairs.
Maintains hardware inventory database.
Maintains working knowledge of network, hardware and operating systems.
Communicates with IS Manager and Systems director regarding system changes, repairs, maintenance, and problem resolution.
Accountability for system uptime and overall operation.
Salary : $28-$30 / hr. (DOE)
