Job Overview:

Duties:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including using proper lifting techniques
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as tidying up and maintaining a clean environment
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of clients
- Provide care for individuals with developmental disabilities or those in hospice care
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Home Health Aide or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Must be compassionate, patient, and reliable
- Ability to work well with individuals of all ages and backgrounds
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Skills:
- Medication administration
- Ability to lift and transfer clients safely
- Knowledge of healthcare systems and protocols
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus
- Proficient in taking vital signs accurately
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized environment for clients
- Familiarity with hospice care procedures is beneficial
- Meal preparation skills are desirable
