Being a Home Care Aide typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or a manager. Additionally, Home Care Aide may require CPR certified. The Home Care Aide possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Job Summary:
The Home Care Aide is a paraprofessional person who is specifically trained, competent, and performs assigned functions of personal care to the patient in their residence under the direction, instruction, and supervision of the registered nurse (RN). The Home Care Aide is primarily assigned to Hospice services but may be floated to provide Home Health services as needed.
