Home Care Aide provides household management activities to enable patients in independence at home. Assists patient with self-administered medications and emotional supports. Being a Home Care Aide typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or a manager. Additionally, Home Care Aide may require CPR certified. The Home Care Aide possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Responsibilities-
Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly clients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents.

Remind clients to take prescribed medication.
-
Help with mobility
-
Plan and prepare meals
-
Assist clients with errands including outings, grocery shopping, etc.

Perform light housekeeping duties
-
Report any changes in condition/ Advocate for clients
-
Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Encourage activities/exercises that are essential for daily living

Provide safety supervision
Qualifications-
18 or Older
-
Ability to submit to and pass drug screen and criminal background check

Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills

Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations

Ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner

Availability to work different shifts

Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment *preferred but not required

High School Diploma or equivalent

Valid driver’s license and car insurance and/or reliable transportation
