Hospice Supervisor manages the resources, operations, and staff of hospice care programs. Works with families and patients to develop optimal care plans. Being a Hospice Supervisor coordinates the delivery of a patient/family assessment process and care plan development. Oversees interdisciplinary teams of medical doctors, nursing staff, and other care providers inside and outside the facility. Additionally, Hospice Supervisor maintains an up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations of federal, state, and regulatory bodies relative to hospice care. May require a bachelor's degree in nursing, social work or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Hospice Supervisor manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Hospice Supervisor typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Suncoast Hospice, a member of Empath Health, is seeking an Evening Supervisor to join our team.
The Evening Supervisor is an integral component of the leadership access team within the Care Navigation Department. He/She/They assume responsibility of admissions, discharges and transfers throughout the region. For all service lines, the Evening Supervisor is directly responsible for compliance with governing state and federal regulations and standards of care guidelines of outside accreditation agencies. The Evening Supervisors upholds the direction and key initiatives of the Access Manager and the organization alike. This leader ensures access to the care network of Empath Health and facilitates optimum person-centered experience, while clearly exhibiting passion, excellence and a desire to serve.
Work schedule: Monday-Friday 2:30pm-10:30pm
