Hospital Staffing Coordinator jobs in Washington

Hospital Staffing Coordinator coordinates scheduling and staffing to ensure sufficient staff coverage for all shifts within a healthcare facility. Works with clinical and administrative departments to project staffing needs and achieve required staffing levels. Being a Hospital Staffing Coordinator utilizes and maintains staffing scheduling software/programs to schedule shifts, monitor staffing levels, and input related data. May perform other administrative functions as necessary. Additionally, Hospital Staffing Coordinator may be responsible for recruiting new staff. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Hospital Staffing Coordinator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.   • Responsibilities

    Collaborates with patient care units to create and implement staffing plans based on unit needs, available resources, and in accordance with established policies and collective bargaining agreements. Applies standard work and critical thinking to adjust staffing plans required to account for unplanned absences, census fluctuations, RN skill mix and changes in unit needs. Maintains a high level of accuracy while supporting multiple areas in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment while meeting deadlines for contracted staff as defined by their collective bargaining agreement and payroll polices. Maintains a working knowledge of established policies, procedures, and payroll practices in performing this role; exceptions are referred to the manager/designee or director as appropriate. Expert user of Seattle Children's scheduling and time management system.

    Requirements

    Required Education/Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
    • At least one (1) year's customer service experience working with diverse populations OR 1 year experience as Staffing Coordinator.
    • Working knowledge of, and experience working with, computers and computer programs.
    • Must be available to work weekends/evenings and call.

    Required Credentials:

    • N/A.

    Preferred:

    • Staff scheduling experience.

    Min to Max Hourly Salary

    $21.94 - $32.90 /hr

    Min to Max Annual Salary

    $45,635.20 - $68,432.00 /yr

    Salary Information

    This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
