Housekeeping Supervisor supervises the daily operations of a housekeeping services department to ensure offices, patient/guest rooms, facilities, and other specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition. Responsible for standards' establishment, staff training, schedule/resource coordination, workflow inspection, inventory maintenance and equipment supplies. Being a Housekeeping Supervisor may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Housekeeping Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. Job Summary: Supports facilities operation by managing facilities service requests at designated location(s) by providing quality customer service for all facilities occupants and interfaces with service providers. Principal Responsibilities: Receives, process and responds to requests for facilities maintenance service. Determines whether work to be performed is to be done internally or if it needs to be contracted to outside sources. Assigns request to internal facilities team or initiates requests for service from outside vendors. Obtains quotes, processes requisitions, provides purchase orders to vendors, and schedules work activities. Dispatches service request to the designated employee or service provider and follows up to ensure service request has been appropriately resolved and documentation completed. Validates facilities invoices and ensures coding and processing are completed in a timely fashion. Oversees and/or backs up mail operation as required. This includes mail distribution, shipping and receiving activities, and ordering and stocking supplies. Prepares and updates routine documents and databases. Provides internal management with regular reports as to maintenance performed at designated facilities and evaluates service quality and timeliness of work performed. Maintains close working relationships with tenants, vendors as well as internal service providers. Updates and maintains electronic or hard copy records in a timely and accurate manner. Other duties as assigned. Job Level Specifications: Acquires basic skills through work experience or formal training to perform routine tasks. Tasks are routine, repetitive and manual in nature with minimal complexity or variation and specific to the job. Work is performed under supervision with detailed instructions. Priorities are provided for performing work. Interacts mostly with immediate peers within assigned team. Based on nature of the role, may respond to requests from others in the organization. Impact of decisions is primarily contained to the work of the job. Work Experience: Typically requires less than one year of related experience. Education and Certification(s): High School Diploma or equivalent Distinguishing Characteristics: May require standing for long periods of time; lifiting up to 25 pounds frequently & 50 pounds occasionally; working at heights exceeding 15 feet; negotiating steps, stools and ladders; frequently wearing personal protective equipment (PPE); requires stand, bend, stoop, squat, twist; Power Industrial (PIT) certification What We Offer: Our employees work hard to live our values and help us grow.
