    CASE MANAGER

    The Case Manager is charged with the responsibility for the physical and emotional well being of the residents of Youth Emergency Services, Inc. Work involves responsibility for the following: safety of the residents; cleanliness of Youth Emergency Services, Inc.; providing a good role model; offering emotional support; and creating a homelike atmosphere in the house. Must be able to change as the job changes.


    Qualifications:

    GED or High School Diploma and be at least 21 years of age. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

    • Receive new residents and participate in intake process.
    • Supervise and participate in recreational activities of youth.
    • Provide emotional support for the youth, i.e. be willing to listen, help with problems and give guidance and discipline.
    • Transport residents as needed i.e. school, medical appointments, etc.
    • Prepare nutritious meals following the assigned menu.
    • Supervise whereabouts of youth.
    • Help youth follow the rules of Youth Emergency Services, Inc.
    • Ensure the cleanliness of the house and grounds.

    The Housing Facility Manager is responsible for the oversight of the Transitional Housing facility and will be required to live onsite in a private unit with weekend, evening, and overnight availability. They will follow and help set the highest quality standards possible to ensure the safety of residents, and upkeep of the facility as they relate to daily cleaning, maintenance, projects and systems to ensure proper building operations. They will help to maintain the buildings and assets in a manner that ensures safe, clean, and welcoming atmosphere.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Offer vision, creativity, and enthusiasm to employees and community members to generate the positive thinking of and best practices for young people
    • Build and maintain positive, supporting and encouraging relationships with youth aged 18-24 who have experienced homelessness.
    • Role model positive supportive behavior for residents
    • Track work completion by tenants for rental credit with case managers
    • Assist as needed with weekly apartment checks with case managers
    • Preparation and maintenance of housing units, including moving furniture, patching drywall, painting, and cleaning
    • Maintains common areas of all buildings in a presentable manner, keeping all walkways, lobbies, laundry rooms, etc. clean
    • Responsible for lawn and landscape maintenance in the summer and snow and ice removal in the winter, in addition to trash removal year round
    • Maintain schedules for all buildings, equipment and assets
    • Follow methods to maintain quality assurance
    • Control costs and work within budgeted framework regarding supplies
    • Recommend operating improvements for budgets in areas covered by scope of responsibility.

    PARA EDUCATOR

    Salary: $14.75 – $17.00 per hour

    Full-time position

    General Duties:

    • Assist with pocket checks and screening clients in the morning.
    • Administer noon medications at lunch and maintain the medication log
    • Attend internal departmental and interagency meetings as scheduled.
    • Attend staff development as required by agency policy.
    • Report to Education Director weekly or as requested.
    • Assist teachers, liaisons or behavior specialist in the lunch opportunity room as needed

    We are looking for a professional individual who has experience in managing federal, state and private grants. Bachelor’s degree preferred.     RESPONSIBILITIES:
