Finance and Human Resources Assistant
The Finance and Human Resources Assistant supports the goals of the Finance and Human Resources departments by providing administrative support and coordination of financial and human resources activities and duties.
Reports to: Director of Finance and Director of Human Resources
Status: Part-time/Non-Exempt; 20 hours per week
Compensation: Minimum of $18.66 per hour; commensurate with experience

Position Responsibilities
Finance Administrative Duties
- Process weekly accounts payable by entering all invoices into accounting software
- Create and maintain payable and vendor files, W9 and 1099 files
- Process monthly charge card activity by entering charges into the accounting software and reviewing receipts for accuracy
- Process weekly and monthly general journal entries
- Reconcile selected accounts on a periodic basis
- Assist with year-end financial and audit preparation
- Responsibilities may be expanded based upon general understanding and aptitude for accounting and financial reporting
Human Resource Administrative Duties
- Process invoices and prepare monthly credit card reports
- Create and maintain employee and benefit vendor files
- Create and maintain employee benefits files and monthly reconciliation of benefit charges and employee payroll deductions for voluntary and supplemental benefits
- Assist the Director of Human Resources with bi-weekly payroll processing
- Assist with maintenance of department administrative procedures and processes
- Assist with annual benefit plan renewal and enrollment
- Assist in the planning and organization staff training and engagement activities
- Update contact management database, Salesforce, as needed

Preferred Experience and Background Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of administrative experience in accounting or human resources
- Excellent people skills and exceptional independent judgement
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite, quick books and experience working with HRIS systems preferred
- Strict adherence to professional ethics, including a practice of high-level confidentiality
