The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) role contributes to company performance by providing tactical and strategic consulting on people and organization development strategies in support of the business objectives. Performs HR related duties at the professional level while supporting more than one functional group. The HRBP reports to the Human Resources Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Partners with leadership to align HR strategy to business strategy.

Acts as a change agent to business through design and approaches that support change and transformation – striving to lead mutual processes to best practice status.

Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with cross-functional teams to develop solutions, programs, and policies. Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.

Provides day-to-day coaching to leadership on a variety of actions.

Conducts ongoing supply and demand analysis for business partners on current and future staffing needs and works closely with the HR Business Partner with a recruitment focus.

Actively participates in all HR / Benefits / Payroll events and company sponsored events.

Ability to create job descriptions, recruit candidates and passive candidates, conduct phone screens and negotiate job offers.

Remains current on laws, regulations, trends, and innovative techniques to improve the department, company and in order to compete in the market and industry.

Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are compliant.

Maintains documented standard employment practices and guidelines to include personnel policy, job descriptions, staffing guides and safe work practices.

Supports management team with interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, and safety programs.

Plans and conducts portions of new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.

Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance appraisals and safety.

Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.

Protects the interests of the company and its employees in accordance with company policies and government regulations.

Assists in benefits programs, such as health, dental, life, disability insurances, vacation, sick time for professional support, leave of absences and employee assistance.

Assists in workers’ compensation with work-related accidents.

Assists in wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive and fair compensation.

Reviews employee separation notices and related documentation and assists in unemployment hearings.

Supports management team with employee coaching and counseling issues.

Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.

Undertakes other duties as requested by management.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in HR Management or a related field, preferred and/or at least five years of traditional HR experience in areas such as talent acquisition, people management, and benefits administration.
