The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing HR practices and policies for this manufacturing location. As a critical member of the HR team, the HR Generalist will support plant leaders & supervisors as well as an employee advocate delivering on key HR tactics and operational activities. The HR Generalist is to be a driver of establishing a culture where employees can deliver, succeed, grow, and, most importantly, are working with pleasure.
- Build effective relationships with assigned client leaders and employees.
- Consultant to managers and employees on human resource issues including but not limited to performance, discipline, development, compensation, and conflict management.
- Assist with the recruiting process to include creation of job description, job posting process, interview scheduling, feedback calibration.
- Create a world-class onboarding process to include orientation and first day compliance but also making it a memorable first experience with the company.
- Successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
- Actively promote a positive culture through consistent employee engagement and open communication.
- Administer benefits, including health care, life insurance, disability, worker’s compensation, Employee Assistance Program, in conjunction with owner and applicable 3rdparty vendors.
- Coordinate new hire and annual open enrollment process.
- Develop and maintain a benefits communication and education strategy for employees.
- Manage aspects of payroll system to include adding profiles into system, timecard processing, time and attendance, payroll changes, conversions, payroll audits, and payroll reporting to accounting.
- Maintain appropriate record retention schedules.
- Assure compliance with organizational policies and procedures as well as federal and state regulations.
- Conduct internal investigations and act as liaison with legal counsel as necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree, Human Resources or related discipline.
- Five or more years of experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
