Position Overview:
Cass Human Service Zone is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join their administrative leadership team.
Cass Human Service Zone partners with the Department of Health and Human Services and Cass County to deliver state-driven human services programs to our community.
Summary of Work:
The Human Resources Generalist carries out day-to-day human resources functions including recruiting, onboarding, providing payroll support, maintaining accurate personnel records and documents, performing administrative processes, and advising team members on policy and procedures.
As a Human Resources Generalist, you will serve as a liaison between Zone team members and State and County human resources partners and provide administrative support to Zone administration and leadership. The Human Resources Generalist acts as direct supervisor to the Family Services Administrative Assistant Supervisor.
Example of duties:
This is an in-office position with occasional hybrid-remote flexibility, supporting our Zone team member's core hours of Monday - Friday 8 AM to 5 PM.

You will have strong listening and communication skills, advanced administrative aptitude, and be confident in navigating sensitive information and complex personnel situations.

Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you should have a bachelor's degree in human resources, management, or related field; high school diploma/equivalent or a combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Demonstrated experience in human resources and administrative support is required.
Preference will be given to candidates with (S)PHR or SHRM-(S)CP certification.
