Job Synopsis
This position is located in the Department of Human Services (DHS), Office of the Director, Office of Human Resources (OHR). This position functions as Human Resources Assistant, responsible for performing a full range of technical and administrative human resources management services in support of programmatic operations to achieve operational goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities
Works directly with supervisor and specialists in performing administrative activities, functions and procedures to increase effectiveness and efficiency in the department. Provides assistance to agency partners and human resources (HR) staff on a wide array of human capital initiatives. Participates in coordinating and monitoring special projects as assigned. Works closely with staff to ensure the timely completion of project.
Performs quality review for all incoming requests and makes determination regarding the accuracy and completeness of material, securing additional information/data, as appropriate; and applies any pertinent procedures and regulations to complete actions. Participates in the creation of vacancy announcements, and/or makes appropriate modifications to standard or precedent announcements in the HRIS system. Reviews submitted applications to assess applicant’s basic qualifications and forwards selection certificates.
Qualifications and Education
Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, one (1) year of specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression.
