Hyperbaric Technician jobs in Arizona
Hyperbaric Technician administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy and diagnostic testing to patients under the direction of a physician. Documents required treatment details including equipment settings, treatment duration, and patient response. Being a Hyperbaric Technician operates hyperbaric chamber and other hyperbaric support systems in accordance to all applicable safety standards and regulations. Performs cleaning of chamber and equipment according to infection control policies. Additionally, Hyperbaric Technician performs equipment checks and system maintenance. Requires a high school diploma. Requires Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Hyperbaric Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Hyperbaric Technician typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

Must possess ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public. Must be able to follow directions and perform work according to department standards when no directions are given. Requires good interpersonal skills. Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to function effectively in fast-paced environment with multiple demands/deadlines. Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions and document care given in English. Computer Literate. .

Licenses/Certifications:Current license or certification is required on one of the following areas:
- National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician
- Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN)
- Registered Nurse
- Emergency Medical Technician
- Certified Hyperbaric Technologist
Experience
Required- Minimum 2 years preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in healthcare is required. Wound, Hyperbaric, or critical care experience is preferred.
Education
Required- High School or better
