Position Summary
The Operations Coordinator is focused on completing specific functions that support the location operation. Focus on profitability, efficiencies and identify opportunities to mentor existing workforce while developing and implementing strategies for growth and best business practices within assigned location.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain customer relationships with internal customers, external customers, electrical contractors, other vendors and other parties. Conduct client (internal or external) communication in a highly customer service-oriented manner.
- Create and maintain positive relations with vendors, internal business unit leaders and strategic business relationships; utilize contacts to ensure our customers are getting the best value and support.
- Work with internal departments to ensure customer transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinates process to ensure equipment (example- generator, test equipment, etc.) is at specified location as needed.
- Works with vendors to complete tasks
- Works with Ops to schedule deliveries
- Completes any necessary billing.
- Schedule work or equipment for local team and coordinate schedules for larger jobs with other managers as directed.
- Will complete other tasks necessary to ensure operations run smooth in location (such as safety, training, coordination of Customer training or other function) as assigned.
- Responsible for ensuring projects/assigned functions are completed timely and meet budget, productivity and quality goal(s). Successfully manage job function(s) by continuously demonstrating following:
- Send out quotes via email or other approved method as directed.
- Enter orders into database accurately and in a timely manner as per company and location procedures as directed.
- Continuously follow up all quotes/projects/orders daily, weekly, etc. Track Customer follow up. Inform Ops team on a regular basis.
- Follow up on Customer requests as directed. Answer inquiries or get/direct Customers to best source for quick resolution of request(s).
- Work with Manager to ensure continuous improvement of process/procedures, vendors and general business initiatives are developed and implemented.
- Prepare variety of reports as assigned.
- Work may require flexible hours, coordinate and/or communicate with leadership and/or location.
- Observe all safety rules and Best Practices; Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Associate degree in related field or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of experience.
- Strong computer skills.
- Able to work independently, work on multiple projects, and independently problem solve.
- Strong verbal and written skills-Able to effectively communicate with a wide variety of individuals at different levels within and outside of the organization. Strong Customer Service/Focus.

Additional Information
Type: Full-Time position - 40 hours per week.
Travel: 0-10%
Location: Farmingdale, NJ
Physical Demands: Position is a desk position. Long periods of computer and/or phone work is required.
Compensation: Pay range for this role is $30 to $35 (depending on skillset and experience) per hour.
