Allocates storage space, plans for future projects or acquisitions, reviews hardware and software configurations and makes suggestions for appropriate storage or backup models. Additionally, IT Capacity Planner may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager. Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Technician to join our team. As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to our customers. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development.
Duties:
- Provide desktop support and technical assistance to end-users
- Troubleshoot software and hardware issues, including network connectivity problems
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications
- Set up and maintain user accounts in Active Directory
- Assist with the management of IT infrastructure, including servers, switches, and routers
- Collaborate with the help desk team to resolve technical issues in a timely manner
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates and backups
- Document all support activities and resolutions in the ticketing system
- Interface with customers in a mixed retail/business environment
- Install data cabling, wireless access points, cameras, and other equipment as needed.
Experience:
- Proven experience in software and hardware troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, including Windows and Mac
- Familiarity with LAN/WAN networks and network protocols
- Previous experience in desktop support or technical support roles
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with end-users
