IT Capacity Planning Manager manages staff responsible for monitoring the organization's data processing and storage needs and develops long-term plans to meet business requirements. Develops policies for network storage system troubleshooting, updating and general maintenance. Being an IT Capacity Planning Manager documents problems and solutions and serves as the point of contact for network capacity related issues. Allocates storage space, plans for future projects or acquisitions, reviews hardware and software configurations and makes suggestions for appropriate storage or backup models. Additionally, IT Capacity Planning Manager may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The IT Capacity Planning Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an IT Capacity Planning Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. This is a hands-on role that integrates demand from customers with the current backlog of work and available resources to produce demand gaps across geos and varying skills. This role provides vital business insights regarding short term and long-term forecasts including leadership in developing model assumptions, risks, and opportunities to meet financial and business objectives.  Job Description: Data Analysis and Modeling: Proficiency in quantitative analysis to assess historical data, trends, and patterns. Ability to build and refine statistical models to predict future demand and resource requirements. Skill in presenting complex data in a visually understandable format for stakeholders via demand planning calls with all geos. Leverage data from Salesforce and PS Automation tool (Clarizen) as inputs for the models Understanding of Professional Services Processes: Understanding the end-to-end lifecycle of professional services, from project initiation to completion. Ability to map and document existing processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Resource Management: Skill in allocating resources efficiently based on project requirements and team capabilities. Ability to forecast resource needs and plan for future capacity requirements. Capability to forecast demand for professional services based on historical data, market trends, and client expectations. Ability to create scenarios for different demand levels and assess the impact on resource requirements. Technology and Tools: Google Sheets / Excel expert Knowledge in Google Suite, Salesforce.com, Clarizen is preferred Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong communication skills to collaborate with different teams, including professional services, IT and finance. Ability to engage with stakeholders to gather input, validate assumptions, and align on capacity planning strategies. #TB_EN
