Company Overview: Blue Layer is a dynamic IT support company dedicated to providing business IT support and cybersecurity. We are seeking a skilled Controller/Bookkeeper to join our team and contribute to our financial management processes.

Position Overview: As a Controller/Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in our Lubbock office overseeing and maintaining our financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business accounting, with proficiency in QuickBooks and a keen attention to detail. Preferential consideration will be given for experience with QuickBooks Online.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
• Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations
• Collaborate with COO to support financial planning and decision-making

Requirements:

• Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proven experience as a Controller, Bookkeeper, or similar role
• Proficiency in QuickBooks
• Strong understanding of business accounting principles and practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
