  • ROLE PURPOSE/ POSITION SUMMARY

    As a Procurement Analyst for MSI Express, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient customer material planning and optimizing organizational MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) consolidation opportunities. Your primary responsibilities will involve vendor/supplier management, cost management, and material flow to and within our facilities. By analyzing procurement data, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing effective strategies, you will contribute significantly to the success and growth of our organization.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Customer Material Planning:

    • Collaborate with sales and demand planning teams to understand customer needs and forecast requirements accurately.
    • Analyze customer order patterns and historical data to optimize inventory levels and maintain optimal stock availability.
    • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of raw materials and finished goods to meet customer demand and keep production lines up.

    MRO Consolidation and Optimization:

    • Identify opportunities for consolidating MRO purchases to streamline procurement processes and achieve cost savings.
    • Collaborate with various departments to understand MRO requirements and standardize purchasing practices.
    • Implement effective inventory management techniques to avoid stock outs and overstock situations.

    Vendor/Supplier Management:

    • Evaluate and maintain relationships with existing vendors/suppliers, ensuring adherence to quality, delivery, and pricing standards.
    • Conduct supplier performance evaluations and negotiate favorable terms to maximize value for the organization.
    • Source new suppliers when necessary, conduct supplier audits, and perform due diligence.

    Cost Management:

    • Monitor and analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for process improvement.
    • Develop and implement cost reduction strategies without compromising quality or service levels.
    • Track cost trends, fluctuations, and market dynamics to proactively address potential issues.

    Material Flow Optimization:

    • Optimize the material flow from suppliers to our facilities, ensuring efficient and timely deliveries.
    • Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to streamline material handling and inventory management processes.
    • Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve overall material flow efficiency.

    Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Collect, analyze, and interpret procurement data to generate meaningful reports and insights.
    • Present findings to key stakeholders and management, providing recommendations for process improvements and cost optimization.

    Any other relevant tasks as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS/ CAPABILITY PROFILE

    Minimum Education

    High school diploma- Essential

    Bachelor’s degree in related field- Desirable

    Minimum Experience/Knowledge/ Skills/

    Proven experience in procurement, vendor management, and cost optimization within the food manufacturing or related industry.-Essential

    Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable conclusions.- Desirable

    Familiarity with MRO consolidation techniques and inventory management best practices.- Desirable

    Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective vendor interactions.- Desirable

    Proficiency in using procurement and supply chain software and tools.- Desirable

    Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.- Desirable

    Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.- Desirable

    Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.- Desirable
