Founded in 2010, Narrator couples the intimate, collaborative approach of a creative boutique marketing agency with proven experience on large-scale projects, franchises and campaigns. We work with studios, agencies, and talent from the moment a project is greenlit, through production, marketing, release, and digital distribution.
Our hub of talented created individuals is located in Los Angeles, where we collaborate closely with our clients to generate, develop and produce dynamic, visually stunning and intelligent promotional material that builds and maintains their branded worlds. Role and Responsibilities: IT Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the administration and maintenance of servers, networks, storage systems, and other IT hardware and software components with the support of the Media Department.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively take measures to optimize resources and enhance productivity.
- Manage network equipment such as switches, routers, and firewalls, with the ability to design and maintain robust network architectures to support post-production workflows.
- Support primarily MacOS based environments, with a focus on optimizing performance and ensuring compatibility with post-production software suites.
- Manage and support employees with their interactions with industry-standard software such as Avid Media Composer, Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.), and DaVinci Resolve.
- Troubleshoot and optimize workflow within these platforms to ensure seamless post-production processes.
Information Security:
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of and apply TPN (Trusted Partner Network) and MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) security standards.
- Implement and enforce robust security measures to safeguard company data, intellectual property, and client assets adhering to all TPN and MPAA guidelines.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and backup procedures to ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or security breaches.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of professionals, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise to ensure the team's success.
Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to negotiate contracts, monitor service levels, and ensure cost-effective solutions for the company's IT needs.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to the post-production team, resolving IT-related issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Resource Allocation and Equipment Management:
- Check in and check out equipment as needed, maintaining accurate inventory at all times
- Develop and manage the IT budget, making strategic decisions to allocate resources effectively and efficiently.
- Maintain inventory of software, ensure required software stays active
Standard Company Expectations
- Support other departments as needed to ensure overall company success
- Execute department’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Contribute to overall positive team morale
- Execute any other reasonable duties as assigned by Supervisor
- Maintain organization of many projects, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks
- Adhere to budget constraints, allocating an appropriate amount time to a project
- Maintain clear interdepartmental communication, ensuring mutual understanding is obtained
Required Knowledge and Experience
- Proven experience 5 years in IT management, preferably in a post-production, media, or entertainment-related industry.
- Mac expert
- Strong understanding of post-production workflows, industry-specific software, and hardware requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, cybersecurity best practices, and IT infrastructure management. Studio Content Security protocols like MPAA and Trusted Partner Networks is a must.
- Experience designing, deploying, and supporting Windows Server infrastructure, including Active Directory services and group policies.
- Proficient in advanced networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and firewall configuration.
- Expertise with Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) and its suite of productivity and collaboration tools, including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, etc.
- Ability to customize Trello boards and workflows to suit the specific needs of post-production teams and projects.
- Hands-on experience managing IT infrastructure relevant to post-production workflows, including storage systems, render farms, and network infrastructure.
- Familiarity with cloud-based solutions for scalable and flexible storage and computing resources.
- Commitment to staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to post-production IT management.
- Proficient in maintaining comprehensive documentation for IT systems and processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.
- Experience conducting regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to security and compliance requirements.
- Basic knowledge of camera and production equipment
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing a team of IT professionals.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Problem-solving aptitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Pay: $67,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
