  • Position Description: JOB SUMMARY
    The IT Project Manager manages complex Information Technology projects from requirements through deployment. The position determines planning, scheduling and project coordination and is accountable for project results. Provides recommendations relating to Agile processes, feedback on the performance of project staff, and has single point accountability to organize, integrate, and lead project teams to successfully meet the project objectives. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a mentorship role with other project managers and business analyst resources.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

    Direct development of project scope, cost, and schedule, from planning through deployment for multiple concurrent projects.

    Direct resource planning, cost estimating, and scheduling functions in coordination with Information Technology, Program Management, Resource Management, Engineering, and Technical Specialists.

    Direct project team including recommendations relating to selection, training, and performance monitoring.

    Direct and coordinate the activities of multi-discipline project teams to meet safety, cost, quality, schedule, technical, and operability objectives for multiple concurrent projects.

    Identify and implement change management in all stages of projects.

    Accountable for integrating safety and security into all aspects of design and execution.

    Accountable for adherence to Anvil and client policies and standards.

    Accountable for adherence to designated quality standards.

    Establish and maintain positive relationships.

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    Expertise in Agile project management methodologies.

    Prior experience managing requirements in a business analyst or product manager role.

    Working knowledge of Stage-Gate Project Execution preferred.

    Proven record of successfully managing multiple concurrent projects, achieving all project safety, cost, quality, schedule, technical, and operability objectives.

    Proficient with Microsoft applications, project management tools, and ability to learn new software programs as required.

    Proficient with computerized project management and reporting tools.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced work environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    B.S. in Technology Management or a related field.

    A minimum of 8 years of project management experience.

    Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or equivalent certification, or 5 years of experience managing Agile projects.

    Prior experience in Heavy Industries project environment (Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Utilities) preferred.

    Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Able to sit/stand, type, and perform computer work for long periods of time.

    Must be able to lift 15 lbs if necessary.
