IT Project Engineer is responsible for the completion of long-term IT engineering projects. Performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints. Being an IT Project Engineer develops, implements, and monitors information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance. Reviews reports of computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine and address problems. Additionally, IT Project Engineer requires a bachelor's degree. May require ongoing training in network/telecom seminars. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be an IT Project Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. - Facilities discussions and consensus among various project stakeholders.
Required Skills/ Abilities- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Some knowledge of basic accounting and business principles.
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism, and a desire to help at all times while maintaining an approachable business posture and exhibiting a positive attitude toward users.
- Ability to prioritize and complete complex projects in an accurate and timely manner.
- Strong mediation skills to achieve goals/objectives and compromises during project planning, development, and implementation activities.
- Keen attention to detail.
Education & Experience- Four-year college degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- 3-5 years of experience with managing development projects
- Must have demonstrated knowledge and experience with project management methodologies in order to work with intricate, multifaceted projects.
- Items considered a plus:
- PMP Certification
- Experience in a project-based organization.
- Experience with software development and analytics projects.
- Experience with Microsoft Project
Work EnvironmentThis is primarily a desk-based role, requiring extended periods of sitting and computer use. While the role is mainly desk-based, mobility within the office, manufacturing facility and customer sites may be required for meetings and interactions with colleagues.Physical RequirementsProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Ability to traverse office, manufacturing facility and customer sites.TREW’s story:
