Job Brief:

The Project Technician is responsible for deploying workstations and laptops to end-users, configuring applications and the desktop experience, and managing a PC imaging system. Additionally, the Project Technician will assist other team members with various projects and service tickets.

Shift : Monday through Friday 8am-5pm CST

Work Designation: On-Site

Work Location: This position will be on-site in our St. Louis, MO office.

• Communicate expectations to the client in a timely understandable way
• Conduct all client interaction in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner
• Drive to a client’s site to setup new computers
• Migrate user and application data between computers
• Install Windows patches and remediate issues
• Install management tools
• Manage vendor relationships on the customer's behalf
• Conduct hardware and software audits
• Install Anti-virus on workstations
• Perform image level backups and deployments
• Maintain and improve imaging and deployment platform (MDT)
• Office moves
• Install Hardware in networking racks/Remove Hardware
• Assist other teams with miscellaneous duties
• Participate in the development of IT processes.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Experience:

• Troubleshooting methodology, such as the scientific method
• Workstation and laptop components
• How to install and configure Windows on a workstation or laptop
• Microsoft Office
• Installation of 3rd party applications
• Virus removal/cleanup

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Basic networking fundamentals (DNS/DHCP)
• Experience with Backup Systems
• Apple Macs
• Troubleshooting issues with computer hardware and software
• Experience with PC builds and deployments
• Proven customer service experience
