Performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints. Being an IT Project Engineer develops, implements, and monitors information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance. Reviews reports of computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine and address problems. Additionally, IT Project Engineer requires a bachelor's degree. May require ongoing training in network/telecom seminars. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be an IT Project Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Essential Duties:Establishes networking environment by designing system configurations; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization.Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.Reporting network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information.Qualifications• 4 or more years of recent networking experience• One or more of the following certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE• Must be resourceful and able to take initiative in a dynamic environment• Ability to effectively and efficiently troubleshoot technical problems• Knowledge of current Cisco and Microsoft Networking Systems• Knowledge of phone and VoIP systems• Advanced knowledge of system hardware• Advanced knowledge with network troubleshooting• Professional customer service skills• Strong written and oral communication skills• Ability and willingness to work in an environment that offers 24x7x365 supportAdditional InformationMust be able to pass criminal background check and valid drivers license.All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines
