  • The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for an IT Manager to support our government customer located in Maui, Hawai'i.

    DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide Oversight and Management of IT team.
    • Oversee the support and maintenance of Communications Infrastructure (Circuit Actions, Tech Control, Internal & External Cable Plant, Spectrum Management, and Frequency Management).
    • Provide IT support to all permanent personnel (military, contractor and civilian) and site visitors.
    • Provide updates/status on any given project/issue to overall program manager.
    • Ensure that personnel accessing information systems have the proper and current Information Assurance (IA) certification to perform administrative functions in accordance with DoD 8570.01–M, IA Workforce Improvement Program.
    • Provide and maintain voice, data and video communications systems to support both research and development (R&D) and operational efforts for multiple site locations.
    • Maintain, secure and operate class and non-class networks
    • Serve as the Base Software License Manager (BSLM). Responsible for maintaining, renewing, receiving, and distributing all essential software licenses for operations.
    • Maintain and administer an integrated data management system for collection, control, publishing and delivery of all program documents. The data management system shall include but not be limited to the following types of documents: Standardized Switch/Router Configurations, Network Topology Diagram, IP Address Management, Virtual LAN Management, TCNO Database, AFNetOps Compliance Tracker, and STIG Compliance Checklists. Provide the government with electronic access to this data, including access to printable reports. Documentation shall also include equipment listing with serial/model numbers and manufacturer specifications.
    • Serves as the unit level focal point for managing the installation, coordination and removal of software on IT assets. Generates requests for, or provides validation of, software to be installed or removed from unit systems.
    • Submits annual inventory to COR for approval and provides approved inventory to Property Custodian.
    • Coordinates all CORE COMM IT hardware acquisitions and all enterprise and non-enterprise hardware warranty acquisitions through the COR prior to purchase.
    • Performs other duties as required by Supervisor.

    REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

    • BA/BS degree in relevant field
    • OR may substitute degree for an additional four plus (4) years work experience.

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    Five (5) years relevant experience

    DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Preferred experience in IT Project Engineering
    • Be familiar with COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO) responsibilities.
    • Have experience with LAN/WAN, VTC, VOIP as well as Voice over Secure Internet Protocol (VoSIP)
    • Have in-depth knowledge of and familiarity with networks such as NIPRNet, SIPRNet, DREN, SDREN and JWICS
    • Maintain different Cryptos and track keys for secure communication
    • Follow up and follow through on all daily tasks regarding voice, video, and data
    • Provide status of all IT projects at any given time to government and Program Manager
    • Be proficient in using Microsoft Project and able to provide software/hardware support to government personnel
    • Understands IT infrastructure for all sites
    • Draft clear reports for government and PM
    • Manage IT team of 15 to 17 people
    • Exercise time management skills necessary to meet all deadlines of IT projects
    • Keep records of documentation of IT add/moves and infrastructure changes up to date
    • Troubleshoot network/software issues and be able to provide efficient solutions
    • Communicate clearly and effectively with IT team daily
    • Keep clear records of all network equipment and IT systems software
    • Promptly respond to any emergency requests from all sites

    REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen
    • Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance
