IT Project Engineer is responsible for the completion of long-term IT engineering projects. Performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints. Being an IT Project Engineer develops, implements, and monitors information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance. Reviews reports of computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine and address problems. Additionally, IT Project Engineer requires a bachelor's degree. May require ongoing training in network/telecom seminars. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be an IT Project Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Experience and Education- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management or related field, or the equivalent in technical certifications.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT project coordination or related roles.
- Past Project Management experience is required. Experience should include Project Management knowledge and capabilities, including budgeting, project phasing, and milestone(s) management.
- Industry-related experience highly desired: MSP/MSSP and experience is preferred.
- Preferred Certifications: CompTIA Project , Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP).
- References must corroborate an ability to be a high-functioning team player.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Work with internal teams and the client to develop and communicate project expectations, requirements, schedules, and budgets.
- Identify priorities and key dependencies essential to successful project completion and communicate any gaps in a timely manner.
- Coordinate project activities, monitor and communicate progress, and identify risks to ensure on time, on budget delivery of milestones.
- Organize and lead project meetings, including agenda preparation, meeting minutes, and action item follow-up.
- Assist in the preparation of a Project Retrospective for every completed project including analysis and presentations.
- Ensure adherence to project management best practices, policies, and procedures.

- Proficiency in project management tools and software
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
