What's involved in this role:

We are looking for a Project Engineer in Jerome, ID.

This position is responsible for conducting engineering assessments, cost estimates, design requirements and execution of capital projects. The Project Engineer reviews deliverables prepared by construction team.

• Apply company methodologies and enforce project standards.
• Prepare process designs, equipment specifications and capital estimates for process upgrades, modifications to existing systems and installation / commissioning of new assets.
• Provide methods, equipment recommendations and standard operating practices to optimize processes and meet product specifications.
• Work with plant management/corporate functions on project planning involving business growth / innovation, quality improvement, and safety.
• Coordinate implementation, write technical specifications, prepare plans and quotes, and allocate contracts for capital expenditure projects.
• Troubleshoot problems with production and takes corrective action or proposes necessary capital projects to correct.
• Prepare and closely manage project budgets to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Assist in plant start-up and commissioning activities.

What you need to join our team:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum one (1) year of project engineering experience required.
• Dairy, Food, or Sanitary Process background preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

Our Jerome, ID, plant is home to about 400 employees and processes about 7 million pounds of milk per day. This facility produces various types of cheese, including cheddar, monterey jack, muenster, mozzarella and provolone. It also runs various whey streams, such as deproteinized whey, sweet dairy whey, GMP, permeate, instantized and our top-rated BiPro products.
