IT Project Engineer is responsible for the completion of long-term IT engineering projects. Performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints. Being an IT Project Engineer develops, implements, and monitors information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance. Reviews reports of computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine and address problems. Additionally, IT Project Engineer requires a bachelor's degree. May require ongoing training in network/telecom seminars. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be an IT Project Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. The IT Project Manager will be a primary figure in leading the day-to-day project planning, execution coordination and tracking, and facilitation of change (both technical and non-technical) across the company for major business system implementation projects – new software implementations (Deltek, Procore or similar, HRIS, etc.). This role will work with internal IT and business leads, 3rd party vendors, and other Dennis Group stakeholders to guide projects to successful completion by applying sound project management practices and demonstrating individual leadership in problem solving, communication, and critical thinking throughout the project lifecycle.
The Project Manager (PM) will evaluate, develop an implementation schedule, and coordinate with all impacted groups on the implementation and training. In addition, the PM is responsible for delivering successful project outcomes while building relationships and working collaboratively with IT leadership and personnel to properly resource project work effort and address issues to drive increasing levels of project predictability and visibility. The PM will draw upon his/her experience managing complex IT projects in a fast-paced growth company environment and must be capable of situationally calibrating process rigor to suit the project. Success in this role will require the ability to draw on and apply best practices in traditional and agile project management methods to build plans, manage resources, and deliver results. The ideal candidate also has experience in Deltek, Procore or similar construction management software programs and HRIS systems (Paylocity, UKG).
