IT Quality Assurance Analyst assists in the evaluation, testing, and validation of IT systems, services and /or software. Assesses service levels and product performance to ensure they meet established quality standards. Being an IT Quality Assurance Analyst documents issues and tracks status in designated systems. Develops or participates in the development of solutions to resolve problems. Additionally, IT Quality Assurance Analyst requires a bachelor's degree in IT or related field. Position Summary: The IT QA Analyst is a supporting role to Application Management and Technology services efforts within the IT department. The IT QA Analyst will be responsible for the testing and certification of new releases of software to the existing production environment at EG America. The individual in this role will need to work with store operations and business teams to build test cases for quality assurance.
Responsibilities:
Working Relationships: The IT QA analyst will work closely with interdepartmental groups and the business to develop customer use cases for forecourt and point of sale transactions. The individual will need excellent written and verbal communications to design, build and maintain test cases for each store POS environment.
Minimum Education: Associates degree or technical coursework completed.
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
Minimum Experience: 4 years in Quality Assurance environment; experience in building test cases.
Preferred Experience: 6 years in Quality Assurance environment; experience in building test cases.
Licenses/Certifications: Any certifications in software testing preferred (CAST, ISTQB, CSQA)
Soft Skills: The ideal candidate has an intermediate to deep understanding of the retail point of sale and forecourt technologies used in convenience stores. The candidate must strive to emulate customer transactions and document them in a library of test cases. The candidate is encouraged to be creative in their approach to emulating the production environment using a variety of technologies or methods.
