    The Opportunity:

    The Import/Export Coordinator represents an integral role in the day-to-day operational compliance with all United States import and export laws and regulations. In this role, you will be supporting and facilitating all import and export shipments to and from the United States.

    As an Import/Export Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing superior customer service to our internal and external clients while conveying strong regard for Hermès culture, policies and procedures

    After sale process by creating required documentation and coordinating shipments with HOP Freight Forwarders. Logging in shared files all import/export shipments, and related documentation in order to track and trace.

    The positions will have a concentration in one division, however, cross training and assistance to other divisions is required.

    About the Role:

    Functional Responsibility

    • Responsible for preparation of required export shipment documentation for all outbound After Sales shipments
    • Works closely with the Customer Service Department in order to facilitate the After Sales process and maintain appropriate time frames
    • Coordinate After Sales shipments with Freight Forwarders and Couriers to ensure compliance with US Customs regulations
    • Process CITES and Fish & Wildlife shipments
    • Locate and provide required Fish & Wildlife documentation to Freight Forwarders for all Fish & Wildlife shipments to include After Sales and exceptional international shipping
    • Provide completed CITES documentation to the Transportation Department in France for submissions to the French Ministry
    • Provide timely status updates for all shipments and report any and all issues which could impact delivery
    • File entry documentation received from Hermès of Paris brokers in accordance with US Customs requirements
    • Provide concise tracking reports to management
    • Participate in compliance training topics as direct by management
    • All other duties as assigned by supervisor
    • This position may require overtime and flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including extended holiday hours during designated periods throughout the year

    About You:

    • Minimum of 2 or 3 years of experience, including hands-on internship, in freight forwarding, transport and/or logistics
    • Certifications in Supply Chain, Dangerous goods preferred
    • Excel knowledge (V-lookups, Pivot tables is a must)
    • Knowledge in air and ocean operations and documentation including ISF, TSCA, Lacey Act
    • Knowledge of incoterm
    • Able to calculate dimensional weight
    • Lifting requirements – ability to lift up to 50 lbs. following properly safety procedures
    • Clear and courteous communication.
    • Accountability, accuracy, and attention to detail.
    • Solid understanding of budgeting and ability to exercise appropriate judgement
    • High level of attention to detail
    • Proven excellence at meeting long and short-term deadlines
    • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office & PowerPoint
    • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
