Industrial Engineering Technician jobs in Oshkosh, WI

REI Engineering, Inc. (REI) is recruiting a civil engineering technician to join our extraordinary team of professionals for the summer of 2023. The civil engineering technician will assist our Civil Construction Engineering Team and our Land Surveying team.

Civil engineering technician specific responsibilities and duties include:

• Read and understand Wisconsin Department of Transportation plans and specifications
• Inspect road and bridge construction projects which may include concrete, asphalt, gravel, storm sewer, and traffic signal devices
• Document inspection observations
• Communicate with other team members as well as contractors, business owners, and the general public
• Support Land Surveying team with the preparation of Topographic, Boundary, Right-of-Way, Easement, and Land Division surveys
• Perform construction staking on infrastructure and development projects utilizing RTK GPS and Robotic Total Station equipment

Ideal civil engineer technician candidates will have the following qualifications:

• Pursuing a Civil Engineering Degree or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology
• Pursuing an Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Land Surveying or Civil Engineering – Highway Technician
• Ability to effectively communicate with peers, clients and regulators
• Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and aptitude to learn and excel in their career
