SUMMARY OF POSITION :
Responsible for planning, developing, directing, implementing and evaluating infection prevention. Control activities within the facility, in addition to planning, directing and/or coordinating the training and development of activities for the staff at the facility.

Infection Control
· Conducting regular rounds in facility departments for discussing, monitoring and following the practices of infection control with staff people.
· Collecting data on infections from facility departments and maintaining records for every case.
· Conducting training sessions to ensure constant implementation of infection control practices.
· Monitoring the execution of preventive measures and providing guidance to staff.
· Participating in unit meetings, in-service education programs, and quality improvement initiatives as assigned.
Staff Development
· Conduct orientation sessions and arrange on-the-job training for new hires.
· Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.
· Prepare training budget for department or organization.
