Risk Manager/Infection Control Nurse

**SALARY- Up To $40/HR (depending on experience)**

Qualifications:

• Must have Tennessee RN license
• Must have long term care/skilled nursing experience
• Must have risk management experience
• Must have prior experience as an Infection Control Nurse
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring that an Occurrence Log form is initiated each month.
• Responsible for ensuring that an appropriate supply of pre-numbered blank Occurrence Report and related statement forms are available for the RNS.
• Responsible for monitoring the Occurrence Log Binder to ensure that the log form accurately reflects the number of Occurrence forms which have been removed and logged out of the Occurrence Binder.
• Responsible for reviewing an Occurrence Report in a timely manner to ensure that all needed statements have been obtained, interviews/reenactments as needed have been conducted in order to complete a thorough investigation of the occurrence.
• Provide as needed to the members of the Morning/QA Meeting information regarding an on-going investigation.
• Provide on-going guidance and education to staff as needed regarding resident safety.
• Develops, reviews and updates and implements all policies and procedures on Infection control.
• Develops updates and enforces procedures for re-portable and non-re-portable infections.
• Track infection control statistics
• Ensure compliance with facility antibiotic stewardship program
