Information Security Director jobs in Fitchburg, MA

Aqueduct Technologies is seeking a full-time, permanent Director, Information Security for our client based in Marlborough, MA. This is a key position to drive the Information security program and support relevant IT strategies implementation.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Leading the cybersecurity maturity program with respective to people, process and information
• Enhancing the defense in depth layered implementations
• Working with all business units to determine possible risks and risk management processes.
• Business development planning and acquiring the correct technology.
• Analyzing IT security threats in real-time and mitigating these threats
• Ensuring that newly acquired technology complies with the IT security regulations.
• Planning, designing, and implementing an IT and network strategy for the company.
• Managing the continuous maintenance of the IT network to ensuring optimum security levels are maintained.
• Sourcing the necessary hardware and software to implement the IT strategy and negotiating contracts.
• Ensuring that no internal breaches or misuse of data take place.
• Determining the cause of internal and external data breaches and instituting appropriate corrective action.
• Present regular feedback on IT network security to the board of directors.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, and developing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Professional security management certification.
• 12 years' experience in a combination of risk management, information security, and IT jobs.
• Knowledge of information security management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001 and NIST.
• Experience in manufacturing related information technologies.
• Experience with contract and vendor negotiations and management including managed services.
• Excellent understanding of current legislation and regulations relevant to our organization.
• Experience with Cloud computing/Elastic computing across virtualized environments.
• Innovative thinking and leadership with an ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams.
