Being an Information Technology Auditor Manager evaluates audit results and recommend improvements in current risk management controls, system implementation, and upgrade processes. Develops staff capabilities and competencies with training and coaching that reflect IT auditing best practices. Additionally, Information Technology Auditor Manager communicates overall regulatory, compliance, or operational readiness assessment results and follow-up action items to stakeholders. Coordinates external audit projects and initiatives. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Information Technology Auditor Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager.     DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Accomplish project objectives within the constraints of scope, schedule and cost.

    Develop project plans/schedules, monitor progress against project plans/schedules, publish updated project plans/schedules and revise plans/schedules to reflect delays, issues, and changes in scope.

    Manage and direct assigned project resources to best meet project objectives.

    Develop and implement organization structure for each project including roles and responsibilities for each member of the project team.

    Manage and monitor day-to-day activity and provide direction to project team members.

    Develop supporting project management plans such as scope, cost, risk, schedule, quality, resource, procurement, and change management plans.

    Review and escalate changes affecting scope, schedule, cost, and/or quality to project Sponsors and Directors, as required.

    Log all issues and risks. escalate, when necessary, project issues and risks to project Sponsors.

    Perform all project communication, including status reporting, risk management, and escalation of issues.

    Make information defined in communication plans available to project stakeholders.

    Develop project budget and update budget periodically with actual expenses.

    Conduct project closeout session and document lessons learned.

    Ensure that all project deliverables and documents are stored and maintained.

    Acts as a mentor to non-senior project managers.

    Perform other duties as assigned.

    Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations.

    Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.

    Education/Experience Requirements:

    Five plus years proven experience managing medium to large projects.

    Five plus years minimum experience in Healthcare and/or Information Technology.

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent additional experience in a related discipline (e.g., information technology, computer science, business).

    PMI PMP certification preferred.
