Installation & Maintenance Technician Director directs the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of switches, cables, and other telecommunications equipment in the field to ensure optimum network usage and quality. Ensures compliance to customer specifications and company requirements. Being an Installation & Maintenance Technician Director leads all functions and ensures they are completed on time and within budget. Oversees the scheduling of installation and maintenance services. Additionally, Installation & Maintenance Technician Director requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Installation & Maintenance Technician Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. - Assist in securing loads.
- Ensure yard and loading areas are clear of debris and trash and equipment is organized and easy to access.
- Follow all safety processes and procedures.
- Travels locally as needed to assist with mobilization/demobilization of systems on customer job sites.
- Assists in connecting pipes, setting pumps, and dismantling equipment/accessories when the project is complete.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- General mechanical aptitude
- Prior experience in a hands-on, field-based (i.e., outdoor) position
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment and/or machinery preferred
- Valid drivers license with good driving record; Class A or B CDL license preferred
- Ability to follow directions and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel locally as needed
- Ability to read, write legibly and communicate effectively
- Ability to safely operate diesel-powered hydraulic lifting equipment
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds
