Position Definition: The
Technology Integration Specialist is responsible for providing the training, consultation and support necessary to use computer, Internet, software, STEM Tools and other current educational technologies as effective teaching and learning tools. Will also provide direct assistance with and development of related educational technology student programs.
Relationship: The
Technology Integration Specialist shall be directly responsible to the Director of Curriculum and Instruction/Educational Technologies.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
- B.S. or B.A. in Education, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Instructional Technology or related field.
- PDE Certification in a K-12 Subject Area or Instructional Technology Specialist or qualified to acquire an emergency permit.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Possesses a strong background in computer software, hardware, and emerging technologies.
- Possesses a strong background in educational technology.
- Possesses the ability to train educators in the use of computer software and its application within teaching and learning.
- Experience or training in current educational technologies.
- Experience in online or blended learning support, teaching or supervision.
- Experience with learning management systems.
- Possesses excellent presentation skills.
- Demonstrates effective leadership skills in the areas of curriculum and professional development.
- Demonstrates the ability to interact with diverse groups in a professional, dynamic, and productive manner.
- Demonstrates a proficient understanding and utilization of Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively with external and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrates the ability to maintain complete confidentiality.

Authority: The
Technology Integration Specialist will have the authority to perform all functions listed below in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Functions/Duties/Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function/duty/responsibility at acceptable standards. In accordance with both state and/or federal law, reasonable accommodations will be considered upon employee request.
Essential:
- Design and develop emerging technology professional development programs following appropriate instructional design principles.
- Provide training for CLIU and district personnel on the integration of technology in the curriculum and work environment as well as how to use emerging technologies and computer software programs.
- Prepare the necessary support materials for technology professional development using the technological skills to be taught, including but not limited to current and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with CLIU and district staff on the development of and revisions to professional development programs related to technology and/or STEM tools on a regular basis.
- Provide direct assistance with Educational Technology planning and development.
- Facilitate state and IU-wide technology initiatives (i.e.: Software Consortia, esports, eLearn21).
- Provide direct support to schools, students and families for online learning programming (eLearn21).
- Develop and implement training on emerging technologies including develop and design student programs (i.e.: Tech Wizards, STEM Saturdays, Remake Learning Days, Summer Camps).
- Present Educational Technologies awareness sessions, as well as specific trainings for constituent districts.
- Assist in the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of grant initiatives.
- Actively seek additional sources of revenue to support department programs and services.
- Actively seek to forge collaborations with business, community and educational partners.
Secondary:
- Develop and implement training for non-public school personnel and outside organizations.
- Present information about CLIU programs at meetings and conferences, using appropriate technology to support the presentation.
- Serve as liaison to other CLIU or outside groups as assigned by the Director of Curriculum and Instruction/Educational Technologies.
- Assist in the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of grant initiatives.
