Summary: The Instructional Technology Specialist plays a crucial role in empowering educators to effectively integrate technology into the learning environment. This dynamic position involves providing professional learning, collaborating, modeling lessons, and co-teaching with teachers on curriculum integration, offering technical support, and staying informed about innovative instructional technologies. This position will cover all classrooms pre-K -12 across the district

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging professional learning sessions for educators on a variety of ways to integrate instructional technology tools and strategies in the classroom. For example: Google Apps for Education, iWorks, Canvas, etc.
• Collaborate with the Blended Learning Coordinator to support district-wide technology initiatives
• Collaborate with teachers and PLCs to integrate technology purposefully into lesson plans, enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes
• Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging instructional technologies that align with district goals.
• Foster a culture of innovation by sharing best practices in technology integration and promoting the use of technology as a tool for student-centered learning
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational technology trends, developments, and instructional practices
• Model technology integration in PK -12 classrooms, allowing teachers to observe and learn effective digital teaching strategies firsthand
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education
• Missouri teaching certification
• Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of classroom teaching experience
• Proven expertise in instructional design and the use of various educational technology tools
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with educators, students, and administrators
• Passion for empowering educators and transforming learning through technology
• Technology certifications are a plus
