REQUIREMENT
To serve as mid-level educational specialist supporting the Wright-Patterson AFB Educational Outreach office, which provides K-12 STEM-related activities to students in the local area. Products include writing high school STEM curriculum and coordinating activities, videos, social media, photos, marketing, and other educational requirements that meet the national math and science standards, while aligning with the Department of the Air Force Critical Technologies.
This employee will serve as courier support for the WPAFB Educational Outreach Office. Courier activities include deliveries and pickups, typically within a 35-mile radius of Wright-Paterson AFB in Dayton, OH. Materials will be delivered/picked up to, but not limited to, two days a week. The employee must use their own vehicle; mileage will be reimbursed.
The employee is required to possess articulate communication skills and be able to work in a fast-paced office with short-turnaround times on taskings at times. Ability to multi-task is imperative. The employee must be able to balance a workload and be astute at informing the Government customer of status along the way.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will provide assistance to, and support, various educational outreach STEM programs, curriculum, activities, events, and services to include educational information dissemination related to K-12 STEM programs.
This position will be coordinating with program managers to create, develop, assist, and update existing classroom presentations in accordance with the educational outreach program priorities which are based on educator and/or mission requirements. Troubleshooting educational equipment, assisting in assembling and maintaining educational materials to be used throughout the office for programs and events, creating/filming educational and STEM videos and enhancing social media presence. Writing high school curriculum and experience with tech devices and equipment. Researching cutting edge STEM educational experiences/technology to enhance offerings provided by the office.
Some travel along with weekend and after-hours work may be required.
