Instructional Technology Specialist supports faculty members utilizing information technology in support of teaching and learning. Develops computer training materials and assists in teaching how to set up and use computer applications and related technologies. Being an Instructional Technology Specialist may troubleshoot technical problems and train junior staff members. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Instructional Technology Specialist typically reports to a manager. The Instructional Technology Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST II (#161)

  • Job Description:

    This position will support the vision, mission, and strategic priorities of ESC Region 12 and the technology operations for contracted districts as well as ESC 12’s technology operations. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all hardware, software, and communication links.


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent post Associate degree education and/or work-related experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other Information Technology related field
  • At least two Technology Industry Certifications preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of technology experience preferred
  • Evidence of interest and growth in areas of technology
  • Strong Server and Networking Skills
  • Experience with Google Apps for Education, MS Active Directory, Backup Software, Firewalls, DNS, Web Filters, and Linux Preferred
  •

  • Ability to initiate and complete projects
  • Ability to maintain Help Desk tickets, emails, and text in a timely manner
  • Ability to work cooperatively with staff and clients
