Instructor - Biology teaches courses in the discipline area of biology. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Biology provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Under the supervision of the division director, associate dean, and/or Dean, Instructional Affairs, the Instructor teaches students according to established policies and procedures to provide competent and effective classroom and laboratory instruction at varied times and places based on student demand.

SALARY: Based on education and experience commensurate with Salary Schedule D-1 IA for 9 months (range: $45,676 - $92,513). Additional salary for summer employment (D1 IA for 3 months $14,102 - $28,612). Summer employment is contingent upon student enrollment and the needs of the College. Higher education could earn placement on a higher salary schedule.

Sick Leave
All regular full-time instructional staff earns one day of sick leave which is equivalent to 7 hours per month. Unused sick leave is rolled over to the following year. Upon retirement, employees are allowed to convert unused sick time into service time for the purpose of retirement.
