Lead Security Installation Technician (Framingham, MA)

This is a non-union position and may require travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation of security-related equipment for commercial industries, including installing, testing, and commissioning
• Roughing in, terminating, and testing cabling
• Installing pathway supports such as j-hooks and ladder trays
• Installation of all door hardware
• Servicing/troubleshooting cabling in a commercial environment
• Installing closet hardware including backboards, connecting blocks, racks, patch panels and fiber enclosures
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of installations

Qualifications and Skills

• Technical skills and knowledge of structured cabling systems
• Knowledge of computer programs including word processing, spreadsheets and databases; CCTV and access control systems
• Ability to follow blueprints, notes, and specifications.
• Industry specific manufacturer certifications preferred.
• Excellent time management, planning and decision-making skills.
• Enjoys hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a professional team with a positive and professional attitude.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Experience with AV/fiber cabling a plus.

Education

• High school or equivalent
• Class D license
