We are seeking an experienced, adaptable, and approachable computer science teacher to join our PK-8 school community. As a computer science teacher, you will play a crucial role in cultivating a strong foundation in computational thinking and problem-solving skills among students. Your responsibilities will include designing and delivering engaging lesson plans that cover various aspects of computer science, such as programming, algorithms, and technology applications. You will guide students in developing their coding skills, computational creativity, and a deep understanding of the principles of computer science, while also fostering collaboration and teamwork.
Our computer science program starts with our youngest students and expands into opportunities to participate in design challenges and showcase projects in the Upper School. By becoming a part of our faculty, you will be instrumental in shaping a dynamic learning experience for students in the Lower School (PK-4) and Upper School (5-8). Through interactive classroom sessions, small group instruction, and hands-on learning opportunities, you will inspire computational thinking and technological innovation in our students. In the Upper School, your role will involve guiding students through a comprehensive exploration of computer science, encompassing programming languages, algorithms, and the practical applications of technology. Our interdisciplinary approach ensures that computer science education remains relevant, updated, and closely connected with other subjects, providing students with a well-rounded education that nurtures their unique interests and passions.
