Being an Instructor - English provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - English typically reports to a department head. ASC English's A Program is seeking experienced Test Prep teachers to teach an SAT class to a cohort of local high school students.
The classes will be taught on 9 Wednesdays from August 16th to October 11th, 1:00 to 4:00 PM.
Additionally, there will be 5 Monday review sessions September 11th to October 9th from 3:00 to 4:30 PM.
The teaching hours are paid at $80 per hour. The review class is paid at $40 per hour and there is 1.5 hours a week prep time paid at $40 per hour as well.
The ideal applicant is someone attending college in their junior or senior year or has a college degree in Math, Engineering, English, Applied Sciences, Communications, or Education, who encompasses a positive mindset and the ability to be flexible to accommodate student needs. Current or experienced classroom teachers and tutors are highly encouraged to apply.
