Instructor - Pharmaceutical Sciences teaches courses in the discipline area of pharmaceutical sciences. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Pharmaceutical Sciences provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Pharmaceutical Sciences typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Job Summary
Under general supervision, prepares lesson plans for clinic, classroom and lab instruction based on approved course syllabus and state standards for course. Ensures that desired course outcomes are met. Measures and submits data for program or departmental student learning outcomes for continuous student improvement and success. Evaluates student progress. Administers and grades course materials. Maintains student attendance and course grades. Participates in ongoing program assessment. Meets with students and program faculty as needed. Teaches pharmacy technology courses in a classroom/lab/field environment that closely simulates the environment of the industry while maintaining knowledge of current trends and developments in the field. Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the discipline area.

This is a part-time instructional position. Work load is Monday-Friday day/evening hours. Weekends based on need.
Travel to other campuses is a possibility for teaching assignments, meetings, trainings, and professional development.
