Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants to provide support and assistance to individuals in need of in-home personal care services. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping clients maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. This is a paid position with opportunities for career growth and development.
Duties:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers
- Administer medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as tidying up living spaces and doing laundry
- Accompany clients to medical appointments or social outings
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Document client care activities and report any changes in client's condition to the supervisor
Skills:
- Compassionate and empathetic nature
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting or assisting with transfers
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR (preferred)
- Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals (preferred)
